Global Frontier: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Politics currently operates on a web-based manuscript submission system. Submissions that do not comply with the journal’s requirements will be returned without proceeding to peer review. Authors are strongly advised to complete the pre-submission checklist before sending their manuscript.

Pre-Submission Checklist

Please confirm all of the following before submitting:

  • Manuscript falls within the journal’s Aims and Scope
  • Manuscript is original and has not been previously published in any form or language
  • Manuscript is not under consideration at any other journal
  • Word count does not exceed 8,000 words (inclusive of references and notes)
  • Manuscript is written in clear, grammatically correct English
  • Formatted in Times New Roman, 12pt, double-spaced, with one-inch margins; pages numbered
  • Abstract of 150–250 words and 5–7 keywords are included
  • All citations follow Chicago Author-Date style; references are complete and consistently formatted
  • Tables and figures are numbered, captioned, and sourced; copyright permissions obtained where required
  • A separate Title Page with author details has been prepared
  • The main manuscript is fully anonymised — no author-identifying information anywhere
  • All co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version
  • Conflict of interest has been declared, or absence of conflict explicitly stated

Files Required

Every submission must include three separate documents attached to a single email:

Document 1 — Title Page

  • Full title of the manuscript
  • Name(s), designation, and institutional affiliation of all authors
  • Institutional email address and postal address of the corresponding author
  • ORCID ID(s), if available
  • Word count (excluding abstract and keywords)
  • Submission type — Research Article / Review Article / Conceptual Paper / Case Study
  • Declaration of originality and confirmation that the manuscript is not under review elsewhere
  • Conflict of interest statement

Document 2 — Anonymised Manuscript

  • Title, abstract, keywords, main text, and references
  • Tables embedded at appropriate locations
  • No author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or identifying metadata
  • Tracked changes and comments must be removed before submission

Document 3 — Figures and Images (if applicable)

  • All figures submitted as separate high-resolution files (minimum 300 DPI, JPEG or PNG)
  • Also embedded within the main manuscript at the appropriate location

Resubmission of Revised Manuscripts

Revised manuscripts must be submitted to the same editorial email address with the subject line:

Revised Manuscript — [Reference Number] — [Short Title]

A separate Response Letter must accompany the revised manuscript, addressing each reviewer comment individually.

Withdrawal of Submission

Authors wishing to withdraw a submitted manuscript must notify the editorial office immediately by email, quoting the manuscript reference number. Simultaneous submission to another journal before formal withdrawal constitutes a breach of academic ethics.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I submit in PDF format? No. Only Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) is accepted.
  • Can I submit a conference paper? Yes, if it has not been published in proceedings and represents a substantially developed work. Disclose the conference name and date in the submission email.
  • Can I suggest reviewers? Yes, in the body of the submission email. The editorial office is under no obligation to use suggested reviewers.
  • How do I check submission status? Email the editorial office quoting your reference number. Please allow the full 8–12 week review period before enquiring.
  • Is there a submission or publication fee? No. Global Frontier does not charge any submission fee or article processing charge.
